UWC El Salvador follows a thorough and well-rounded selection process to identify motivated and talented young individuals who align with UWC’s values and mission.

1. Information Session
The first step in the selection process is attending an information session.
Each year, we have 2 information sessions*. One in person and one virtually, these sessions are for the legal tutors and the students who are interested in being part of the selection process. The sessions are an opportunity for you to learn more about the program and ask any questions before deciding to participate in the selection process. The dates for each session are announced through our social media and our website.
*To participate in the selection process, you must attend one of the two information sessions.
2. Registration Fee
Once you have decided to join the selection process, there is a registration fee to be paid. The fee is $45 dollars*

3. Academic Exam
The academic exam will evaluate the following areas: Math, Science, Language, Social Science, UWC knowledge, and English*. This test is done in person, and the instructions are sent via email.
*English does not count for the final grade. It is in the test just to know the level the students are currently at.
4. Personal project
Applicants will be invited to an online workshop, where they will learn how to create and organise a community project. After that applicant will be in charge of planning and executing a project in their community.
5. Camp
Applicants who have passed the past selection stages will be invited to a 2-day camp. It is an opportunity to get to know different realities, develop new ideas, and create new relations.
6. Psychoacademic Test
As a committee and organisation, we believe that mental health is a fundamental pillar during the process and within UWC schools. Therefore, with the help of an expert, applicants are evaluated, and a psycho-academic test is administered. This test is not a decisive factor in the selection process; however, it is used to consider the best option for the applicants.
